Had a lovely, comfortable stay at Hazel Cottage. The striking observation for me was the cleanliness of the property! Everything worked apart from the toilet on the top floor being broken which was repaired as soon as I had reported it cant fault the service from the letting agent! The decor was fresh and the beds were so comfortable and the fact they are all super king sized and can be separated to configure the room to a twin bedded room is excellent! The only niggle I have is the parking outside, is free from 6pm 10am but after then you only get an hour. You can park at designated car parks within Ambleside with the free pass that you have available at the property. The window in the first floor ensuite bedroom does not open due to being triple glazed & is covered with a frosted film which I understand as the property is on the main road & gives you privacy, these are just minor things & would not stop me from staying at the property again as we had a wonderful stay!

Fantastic holiday property right in the heart of Ambleside. The property was just as shown in the photos, very comfortable and clean. We particularly like that two of the rooms were ensuite, plus a separate family bathroom meaning no waiting for a shower. Having a bicycle store was also a much needed feature for us.

Overall we all had a wonderful stay in Hazel Cottage but there where some issues around the heating downstairs, the room wasn't particularly warm but the upstairs was so the heating was an issue, also the showers didn't work at the same time when one was having a shower in the middle ensuite the top shower did not work, this shouldn't be the case as the property was for 6 people. We are only bringing this to your attention for others who rent the property.

We love this cottage. Its our 4th time staying at Hazel Cottage. On our first night we locked our selves out and within 20 minutes someone was there to let us in, highly appreciated! The internet was pretty inconsistent throughout the week, might be worth checking in case youre not aware

Spent 3 nights at this lovely house to celebrate my 70th birthday with 3 of my close girl friends. The house was lovely and perfect for us, getting out walking from the door and eating out at night. Three bedrooms worked perfectly, as I requested upon booking that one room was made up to be twin beds. All rooms have twins but are usually left as doubles. I feared my request would not be followed through, so I repeatedly contacted Sykes to make sure this would be done. We arrived to find that yes, there were 3 double beds. It was late in the day. We were tired after stopping off en route for a lovely walk near Ullswater and couldn't get through to anyone, so we scrabbled around in the cupboards to find extra bedding. Not a great start to our trip.

Lovely, comfortable and very well kitted out property, ideally located in the centre of Ambleside. Had a great week there, would definitely recommend.

We have stayed here before and were pleased we were able to get another week in Hazel Cottage. Its a lovely house with a lot of space. The beds are very comfortable and we like the ability to have them all as twins or super kings. Its perfectly located in the village. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

This was our fourth visit to Hazel Cottage, we were disappointed this time it felt that the standards had slipped. There was no welcome pack. The toilets had not been cleaned and the hand wash in the bathroom was nearly empty and ran out. The dishwasher was broken, this was reported but not fixed and communication from Sykes was non existent.

What a fabulous holiday home right in the centre of the beautiful town of Ambleside. So clean and nicely appointed with absolutely everything we needed, including a cafetiere, hairdryer, corkscrew and other little things that are sometimes forgotten. We were a party of 6 adults so we liked that the double beds could be made up as twins. When this hadn't been done for us, as requested, on our arrival, it was quickly corrected once we alerted the company. Likewise when one of the en suite toilets stopped flushing, it was dealt with immediately and they also replaced the kettle that stopped working while they were there. Great service! Lots of good shops, cafes and restaurants in Ambleside if it's a rainy day and you choose not to do one of the many lovely walks in the area. Liked how the owners had provided walkingbooks etc. I've stayed in many holiday homes in the Lakes over the years and this is certainly one of the best. We will definitely return. Only downside is parking and if it was a busy time of the year it might be more challenging but we eventually got parked in the Rydal Road car park after a few circuits waiting in someone to leave.

The only thing I would note about the property is I'm pretty sure the oven only works on the grill setting. On the fan oven setting, it doesn't get hot at all. Otherwise, great property we've already booked again.

Beautiful cottage with absolutely everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, 3 lovely bedrooms, 2 with ensuites and a main bathroom so it was perfect for 3 couples. Everything finished to a high standard and very clean. We had a problem with one of the toilets but maintenance came out very quickly and sorted. Excellent location with pubs, restaurants, shops and even 3 cinemas on the door step. Parking wasnt really an issue. We parked outside to unload then used the parking permit for one of the car parks a short drivewalk away. The cost for the other car wasnt excessive for our 4 day stay. Would definitely recommend staying at Hazel Cottage and using Lakelovers in the future.

Nice property well maintained. We would have expected some soap for each sink and a few more toilet rolls. But one of the better ones we have stayed at in the lakes and would recommend. Good location. Parking is always tricky in Ambleside but the parking voucher was a real help. Overall a really good stay in a lovely house.

A great cottage set in an ideal location. Very comfortable for 3 couples with 2 ensuites and a main bathroom. Kitchen well supplied and clean. Only criticism would be attention to cobwebs dotted around the house. They look old as well!

We all loved HAZEL COTTAGE which was perfectly located close to local shops, amenities, restaurants and sites. We were lucky with the weather which was sunny throughout our stay. We were welcomed with wine, Prosecco, chocolates and a Happy Anniversary Card which was so thoughtful and appreciated. We did have a few issues however including a front door that wouldnt close unless you forcibly slammed it and only being issued with one front door key between 3 adult couples which was restrictive as we often wanted to go on different trips and excursions. We also had a problem with the Macerator in the ensuite toilet which wouldnt stop taking in water and became noisy and very intrusive. We were eventually able to contact Sykes who sent Maintenance staff to fix it. Every thing worked as it should and the house was well equipped the kitchen was laden with utensils, the TV worked well and the WiFi worked throughout the 3 storeys of the house. The decor and furniture were of great quality but there were small decor issues cracked plaster, door knobs throughout instead of handles for older people who may have gripping issues but we all had a great time and enjoyed our stay at HAZEL COTTAGE immensely.

We had a great time in your very comfortable cottage. Thank you. Extremely clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. The crockery was of a high quality, the only problem was that the large plates did not fit in the dishwasher! The cottage was close to all the shops, restaurants and amenities. I think we sampled every coffee shop whilst we were there. Would definitely like to revisit. Ambleside is a lovely little town with easy access to the countryside around.

Really lovely house in a fantastic location. Great to have one bathroom per bedroom, and all worked well and very clean. Extremely quiet, which surprised us given its central location. A very comfortable stay, we would certainly go back.
