The cottage is well maintained and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook meals etc. The beds are comfortable and the linen is spotless. The towels are a generous size and good condition. The private parking space is worth a lot as parking is very limited and expensive in the town. The shower is difficult to access for older guests as climbing over the bath is unnerving to say the least. May I suggest a nonslip bath mat would avoid the worry of slipping on a soapy bath base.

A fabulous week's stay for my husband and I. .. the cottage was a perfect size and well equipped with all we needed for our stay. We only breakfasted there and ate out during the evenings, for with there was plenty of information left by the owners for us to be able to book a table at our choice of restaurant. The beds were comfy and plenty of space in the wardrobes and cupboards. The reason we booked this cottage was for it's town centre location with off road parking and we were extremely pleased with our booking.

This is our second visit to the four seasons. On entering the cottage your first impression is how clean and fresh it is. It is beautifully furnished, sofa and bed are really comfy. It is ideally situated with walks from the door and the bonus of a parking space. We were lucky with the weather and our car never moved for the whole week. There are some great places to eat and the bus service is really good. Would highly recommend this property we've really enjoyed our stay.

This is our 2nd stay in this beautiful cottage. It is clean, cosy and comfortable, gives you a lovely hug each day when you return from any of the great walks around this area. Parking right outside the door is an added bonus. There are lots of lovely places to eat and drink, all just a 5 minute stroll down the road.

Another fabulous stay in our favourite cottage in Ambleside, spotlessly clean as usual. We did eat in a few evenings this time unfortunately finding the restaurants in Ambleside too expensive now, everything we needed in the cottage to cook though.Agree the white lines for parking do need repainting but people do have bigger cars nowadays so even then it will remain tricky to get in and out especially when youre getting older and your body doesnt twist as it did

What a great little cottage, perfect location with parking which is ideal. The parking spaces arent massive and we had a very large car in the space next to us so it was a squeeze. Nothing the owners can do about it, but just something to be aware of if you have a large car as it could be a bit tight. Cottage had everything we needed, very clean which is not always the case with holiday cottages! But this cottage was immaculately clean. I messaged the owner via the Sykes app before arrival to check if the cottage had a hairdryer which is does, and they got back to me very quickly which was really appreciated. All in all, we had a great stay and would definitely like to stay again and would recommend too.

Lovely cottage and great location. Very difficult to dry clothes in a wet week in August. Beds really comfy and cot set up before arrival but chairs and sofas were not ideal for sitting.

We had a lovely week at Four Seasons Cottage, it's a great base for exploring the area. The house is really well kept and clean and has everything that you need for your stay in terms of kitchen equipment and utensils. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. It was great having a parking space outside the property, although we did have an inconsiderate neighbour with an excessively big car that used to make getting in to the space difficult, but that's no reflection on the size of the parking spaces that would be perfectly big enough in normal circumstances! There's plenty to do around the area, both close to home and if you want to travel further afield, and we did both. We'll definitely book to stay here again when we come back to Ambleside.

Excellent cottage in a great location with an added bonus of a parking space right outside. Nice and peaceful with easy access to everything we wanted for our holiday. Really enjoyed our time and would recommend the property to anyone . Just a couple of suggestions that we thin would make things a little better for guests 1 Have some hand soap in kitchen as when preparing food etc this would be useful. 2 Only 1 toilet roll available did not find any replacements not sure if this was stated on the booking etc but we brought some just in case. This cottage was ideally situated, 5 minutes walk to shops and buses, 10 minutes walk to Lake, with the bonus of parking on site. Well furnished, very clean and easy to keep cool in summer heat. Excellent refurbished bathroom, comfortable beds and adequately fitted kitchen. Would definitely look at booking again.

Lovely property, very clean and well equipped, good location, and very comfortable. Only a minor thing, a chopping board would have been nice in addition to the glass heatproof worktop board. We would book again as the property is lovely but, the only thing that would potentially put us off is the fact that there is no washing machine. We did know this when we booked and there is a launderette nearby, but who wants to spend their precious holiday time in a launderette?
