Amber Cottage is a traditional whitewashed Lakeland cottage set at the end of a row of cottages in Ambleside, right in the heart of the Central Lake District. It sleeps two and is built for couples a cosy bolthole with a roaring wood burner, cast iron bedframe and distant fell views. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner has tiled floors and a smart TV.
Ambleside is a proper market town. Independent shops, pubs and restaurants are all within five minutes on foot. The pier offers cruises on Lake Windermere. Walking routes start from the front door Loughrigg, Wansfell and the Fairfield Horseshoe are all within reach.
