A beautiful cottage in an amazing location we had a fantastic stay! The rooms are spacious and very clean and beautiful bed linen in all bedrooms The outdoor area is fantastic to sit out and safe for the children to play Amenities and the welcome box is a great touch This is a great place to stay Overall we would thoroughly recommend this property

This was our first stay at Rose cottage but it won't be our last. It was beautifully appointed and right in the heart of where we wanted to be. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a stay in the Lakes. Perfect.

Just returned home after a fabulous week in Rose Cottage. The house has such a warm and cosy feel to it. The snug area is fabulous with views over the river, you could sit and watch the water all day. The bedrooms are warm and comfortable with lovely comfortable beds and great onsuits. The location is right in the heart of Ambleside so really easy to pop over to the shops or pubs. Lots of great walks around Ambleside to discover. We will definitely be returning to Rose Cottage in the future

Situated right in the middle of Ambleside, perfect for the many pubs and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped and the house had everything we needed. Lovely place to stay.

We had a fantastic time staying at the outstandingly lovely Rose Cottage. Everything was better than given in the details The owners have obviously given a lot of thought on how to please their guests, with great success. Maybe better seating around the dining table, but this is not a complaint 4 very happy ladies from Norway.

Rose Cottage is the holiday cottage that all holiday cottages should aspire to be! Perfect location we didn't use the car all week! & the most comfortable holiday home we've ever been to we've been to quite a lot!. This was our third stay here, and it won't be the last nowhere else can come close.

Wow, what an absolute gem of a cottage! Modern, spotlessly clean, spacious, well equipped, perfect location, in fact the only thing wrong with Rose Cottage is that we had to leave.

We have been coming to the Lakes for many years and have stayed in many different houses but Rose Cottage was absolutely the best! Everything was perfect. The house was so clean and well equipped and everything was exactly as the photos. As for the location you just couldnt ask for more. The parking permits were also most welcome. The hosts were lovely too and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. Super house for our family of 5

The property was wonderful. It felt cosy, warm, and super clean. Comfy beds, too. We felt right at home as a family. Everything was a moments throw away. There were loads of shops around, plenty of places to eat, and no shortage of drinking venues from hot to cold!. We loved the ability to just jump in the car and explore the Lake District. We would 100 return.

Rose Cottage was fabulous. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. The attention to detail was visible throughout the house. Not often you see luxury fluffy towels in a holiday home. Had a need to contact owner who was prompt in providing helpful advice. Really would highly recommend this beautiful home. You wont be disappointed

We had the best time at Rose Cottage as a family of mixed ages, the cottage was suitable for everyone including our little puppy. The owners had thought of everything and the welcome hamper was hugely appreciated. The only thing I would suggest would be another baby gate for the downstairs snug. Rose Cottage is in an amazing location, right in the centre of Ambleside. We all will definitely be returning, we had an amazing and comfortable stay. Thank you!

Rose Cottage is beautiful. We stayed with family for a birthday celebration and it was perfect. A great big kitchendining area. The living room was so cosy and the snug a great place for everyone to chill. The whole house is decorated and furnished to a high standard. Its in a fantastic location. We were lucky with the weather so got chance to make use to of both garden areas. There was a lovely welcome box with lots of treats. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful house right in the center of Ambleside. The house was spotless and equipped to a very high standard. We were very impressed with it all. There are two outside areas which are fully enclosed and safe for your dog. Weather was great so we made full use of these especially as they get the sun all day, two garden umbrellas are a helpful touch. Welcome pack was generous. All in all we would recommend this house and will return. Ambleside is a fun place to stay with plenty of walks and things to do right on your door step.

Rose cottage was amazing and in a perfect location, we will definitely be staying there again.

Cottage was very comfortable clean and home away from home where little things made a difference eg not pages and pages of house rules! Boot room was invaluable. A noisy but very convenient location. Enjoyed our stay immensely and parking worked a treat!

Lovely cottage in great central location have stayed before with our family just fabulous can also recommend the local vet who we sadly had to use they were so sensitive and kind.

Really enjoyed the stay at Rose Cottage. The central location was brilliant being able to walk to the numerous local bars and restaurants was a huge bonus. The house was great, very comfy and clean and plenty of space for 7 of us. Would definitely recommend.

Rose Cottage is a really lovely property, so clean and tidy with great facilities. Our family of 8 with 2 dogs really loved Rose Cottage, the beautiful location with running stream next door,and wonderful local bakery opposite and such a fantastic warm property to return home to. The sunken tv room was great with the separate room to be able to play board games really worked for our family group! great memories! great holiday! Thank you!

The owners made us feel so welcome made us a lovely welcome hamper. We spent Christmas time at the cottage and my mum and dads 45th wedding anniversary which the owners kindly met us early so I could decorate the house for a surprise for my parents. The cottage was immaculate and had everything you would need 1010 for us and would definitely book again.

What a fabulous cottage. The location is Amazing. You dont need your car. Park up with the free pass provided at car park opposite. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to have a great time. Large welcoming kitchen, great for large groups. Fabulous welcome hamper. Thoughtfully decorated. Lots of utensils and plates and glasses that all match! . Views out across the river from the snug. Absolutely spotless. I cant recommend Rose Cottage enough. The communicator owner was brilliant.

Just returned from our second stay at Rose Cottage & I can't say enough good things about it! It's in the perfect location for all that Ambleside has to offer, with shops, pubs & restaurants a stones throw away. There are lots of walks from the door, meaning that we rarely moved the car from the very convenient car park with a free permit included with the cottage. The cottage is really comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Furniture, bed linen & towels, crockery & cutlery are all really nice quality. The view from the snug out to the beautiful beck is so mesmerising you barely need the 50 inch smart tv

The property was perfect for our group 6 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog. Location was perfect. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely welcome basket which was well appreciated by all and got our weekend off to a good start. Parking permits worked well. Beds very comfortable and showers were great. Great cottage. Great location, so easy to pop out for meals and shopping. Very comfortable and cosy for a family of 8, beds very comfy and each couple had their own bathroom, all spotlessly clean.

Had a wonderful relaxing stay at Rose Cottage, the place was spotless and beds so comfortable. Hosts have gone to great lengths to ensure you have everything you might need . All information was clear from parking, heating and appliances so from arrival to departure it was seamless. For those that don't know Ambleside convenience stores, restaurants and lovely walks are all easily accessible .

A great place in an ideal location. x6 Adults and x1 toddler had plenty of space to interact and eat but also were not tripping over each other. Great location right in the center of Ambleside close to restaurants and bus stops. Great communication with the owners. Fabulous! Would highly recommend!

The location of Rose Cottage is absolutely perfect. Nestled in the heart of Ambleside, it provided easy access to the stunning Lake Windermere, picturesque walks, and all the charming local amenities. We couldnt have asked for a better base to explore the Lake District. Being dogfriendly was a massive bonus for us, and our dog felt right at home. The cottage was equipped with everything we could possibly need, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making it comfortable for both humans and pets alike. The owner was a delight to deal withwarm, welcoming, and incredibly thoughtful. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a delightful goody box containing chocolates, wine, and even treats for our dog. It was a lovely touch that made our stay even more special. As for the views, they were nothing short of spectacular. Waking up to the sight of the surrounding hills and enjoying a morning coffee while soaking in the beauty of the area was one of the highlights of our stay. The tranquillity and natural beauty of the location provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In conclusion, Rose Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way.
