Fellcroft is a three-storey stone cottage sitting in one of the oldest parts of Ambleside, Cumbria. It sleeps two and is built for couples who want a proper Lake District base without sacrificing comfort. The location is hard to beat pubs, shops and the village centre are all on your doorstep.

Ambleside sits at the northern tip of Windermere and is surrounded by fells on all sides. Walk out the door and you're minutes from Rydal Water trails and Loughrigg Fell paths. Bowness-on-Windermere is just 6 miles away for lake boat trips and waterside pubs.

The accommodation spans three floors. Ground floor has an open-plan kitchen and dining area with exposed timber beams, handmade oak units, slate floors and a farmhouse table. The first floor lounge has a wood burner set in a striking stone fireplace. The top-floor bedroom is a double and features a double-ended roll-top bath as its centrepiece anchored by a pretty ornamental fireplace.

Rydal Water is 2 miles away. Bowness-on-Windermere is 6 miles (15 mins). Grasmere is 4 miles (10 mins). Kendal is 13.5 miles (25 mins) with galleries and Castle Hill.

Fellcroft is ideal for couples wanting central Ambleside with real character. Permit parking for one car is included. Book it.
