Castle Crag is a single-storey stone cottage sitting right in the heart of Ambleside in the Lake District National Park. The location is hard to beat you're within walking distance of fells, rivers and Lake Windermere. This is a well-presented couple's retreat with calm, considered décor throughout. No hot tub here, but the setting more than compensates.

Ambleside is a proper Lakeland town. Stock Ghyll Force is just half a mile away. Lake Windermere is one mile down the road offering boat trips and water sports. Sit outside on the garden chairs in the afternoon sun and watch town life pass by with fell views all around.

The cottage sleeps 2 guests in one king-size bedroom. The open-plan lounge and kitchen features sofas and armchairs around a flame-effect electric fire plus a Smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and breakfast bar. Modern bathroom with shower included. Towels provided.
