This cottage was ideally situated for somebody like me who was exploring the Lakes by bus since it was so close to the main Ambleside interchange. The cottage was clean and well equipped but virtually all the information leaflets were out of date. Some e.g. the RGS Gardens open leaflet dated back to 2021! Also the welcome package of two individual packs of biscuits and a few teabags and coffee sachets was not as generous as most places where I have stayed recently. It would not deter me from rebooking this property as it is otherwise a very comfortable and convenient property.
Stayed here before, well happy with lay out, comfortable bed, the kitchen was well equipped. had a problem with the bath tap called into the office and it was sorted that day. hope to stay here again. thank you
We really enjoyed our stay at Two Tweenways. The cottage was convenient for the Ambleside shops, pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. Ambleside is a great central location in the Lake District and we were able to explore a lot from Two Tweenways. Availability of a parking space was very helpful. The cottage itself was really well equipped with everything we needed for our weeks holiday.
This property is ideally situated for easy walking distance to central Ambleside, the private parking slot is a big plus and the property is competitively priced. In my opinion a couple of negatives would be that it offers no natural dining area space and moreover Wansfell Road is a very busy through road so traffic noise during the night is an issue. Having said that the description on the website does clearly show both the ground floor lay out and the property's location so nobody can accuse the owners andor Sykes of being intentionally misleading in anyway. Moreover you only have to look at the forward bookings for this place to see that it is very popular so fair play to the owners.
This was the second time I booked this cottage. Excellent location and your own private parking space. Will be back.
Great location for accessing the area and town. There is noise with the traffic so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. The bed is small would be great with a king size bed. The cottage is cosy and well equipped even though the kitchen is outdated.

Property is excellently presented with all you need. One small thought is that the size of the double bed was on the small size, less than 4ft 6ins. Secondly it would be helpful to know that the bedroom window is level with the pavement below and the road is a fast one way system in use by day and night, sounding like jet planes passing your window. so if you are a light sleeper you may find this disturbing. Otherwise all was excellent.

A great stay. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house itself is very clean and tidy. As well as that you have all the amenities you could possibly need in the house. One huge bonus is that there is private offroad parking which is incredibly useful. The house is located about a 5 minute walk into the centre of Ambleside. There are lots of walks to do as well as being in a convenient location if you want to climb mountains. This is a really good place to stay for couples and would highly recommend. Would definitely come again.
Lovely little house, bathroom was big,bed felt like small double, outside tables chairs dirty should be clean and covered.
Gorgeous well maintained cottage. Loved the little touches like kitchen roll, hand wash, shower gel, washing up liquid, biscuits, salt, pepper etc it makes such a difference. Fantastic location, wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Enjoyed our week at Two Tweenways. Situated near centre of Ambleside so central to where ever you wanted to go. Only used car twice as plenty of walking and use of bus service, as bus stops nearby. We were lucky with weather too which obviously made it better for walking and getting out and about.
A comfortable well equipped property. We appreciated the extra touches of shower gel and hand wash in the bathroom and the thoughtful addition of small packs of biscuits to welcome us after a long journey.

Great week at the cottage. Very comfortable. Good size for two people one in my case Central location excellent. Off road parking. Didn't use car all week. Walked straight from cottage or caught bus. I was lucky to have a very, very good price especially as an Easter holiday week. Shower and separate bath...always good to soak them bones in a bath after a long walk! Top it off weather fantastic...clear blue skies all week...remarkable! I had a great week.
Tweenways 2 is a well appointed and equipped cottage, complete with parking. Handy for Ambleside and close to bus stop. The cottage has a Smart TV, but as it is not connected to the Internet it is basically just a TV. However, a simple network cable 36 from Amazon connected from the router to the telly would allow its full functionality! Not a complaint, merely an observation.
Just had a one week stay at the property and it was excellent. The location was perfect, just a very short walk into Ambleside. The off street parking was a bonus although we used the bus and boat rather than the car. The property is very spacious for 2 people with a large kitchen and bathroom.
Lovely house with everything you could need. Parking space is great. 5 minutes walk to town centre . Did not move car all week. Brilliant bus service which covered surrounding area. Only downside to house was settee which is long past it's sell by date
A tidy comfortable cottage, ideally situated in Ambleside. With everything that you would need, including a proper freezer and a dishwasher. Well presented and spacious unusual for a cottage for two or in my case one! It's nice to have room to swing a cat not that I'd swing a cat I don't have a cat, and anyway pets aren't allowed! But seriously it is one of the best properties that I have stayed in years.
Great cottage and very convenient to all the shops. Well planned out and everything you could need. Bonus was having a parking space outside off the road. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that is good value for money.
We had a lovely week everything you needed was in the cottage location great and ... We had a lovely week everything you needed was in the cottage location great and best of all was the booklet of walks that was kindly left for us and we didnt have to use the car once
