Very comfortable and well equipped apartment, conveniently located a few minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside. Lots of local information and recommendations as to where to eat and where to visit during your stay.

Rydal was the perfect place to stay with everything you need. Absolutely clean and well maintained. Appreciated the little notes dotted around to help and guide us with small details in addition to the comprehensive folder full of information. Plenty of books, games,12 vinyls and DVDs for rainy days. The binoculars were a nice touch. There were only 2 small points to mention, the shower has a tendency to splash water beyond the screen. Only a minor comment but worth looking at to safeguard the flooring. Secondly it would be useful to mention that Rydal is a steep climb back from the town centre and not an easy walk unless you are quite fit. We were hoping to leave the car at Rydal and make use of our bus passes but sadly the bus stops were too far to be useful. Those points apart Rydal was a great base for our holiday and would recommend it without hesitation.

Rydal cottage was very nice. In a lovely location very peaceful and beautiful views. The apartment was very nice , just one issue I would like to highlight in the bathroom when u shower the shower screen seems to leak and water ends up all over the floor. I think it may need sealing down the side to stop the water from going all over the floor. We would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Such a lovely place to stay, and in a great area too. Within walking distance of the village, which is also an added bonus. The property was clean and comfortable, highly maintained and a home from home. Would definitely stay here again!

A perfectly situated, very comfortable flat in the heart of Ambleside but peacefully tuckedaway with a glorious view of village and beautiful Loughrigg.
