We had a fantastic stay at the property. Central location was ideal for walks around the town. Although central, the property was quiet as its set back from the road. It was an ideal base for the two of us. We would definitely stay again and have been planning our next stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Lal Tethera, it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! It is well located in the town centre of Ambleside and can do lots of good walks from the front door. The parking permit was really useful and Lake Road Carpark was only around the corner. Would definitely stay again! Everything was very clean.

Predominantly clean however certain areas would benefit from a deep clean ... Predominantly clean however certain areas would benefit from a deep clean Fridge cleaner needs to remove shelves and clean black mould in grooves Shower mouldy around the trim and glass grimy around the bottom of the shower would benefit from some limescale remover Cobwebs in the bedroom on the curtain pole and the curtain Wall by table mucky with grease spots needs repainting Toaster full of crumbs Vacuum cleaner very dusty needs wiping Bathroom blinds have mold spots Table mats very tired and worn Despite this we had a great stay of the above was sorted you would get a top score attention to detail is key
Fabulous apartment in the perfect location for walking and exploring. Warm and welcoming after a day on the fells and super value for money. Great communication from the owners and the welcome gift was a lovely surprise.

Great location, great communication, very comfortable property, right in the centre of Ambleside set away from the main road. Lovely views across the rooftops to Loughrigg Fell.

The property is in a great location close to all the amenities of Ambleside and a great centre for exploring further afield without using the car. The apartment is very well equipped and has a cosy feel to it great for relaxing after a full day out walking. We also enjoyed sitting on the communal terrace enjoying the last of the sunshine.
We are regular visitors to the lakes and Ambleside in particular and have stayed in some wonderful cottages this stay was absolutely terrible. We went without hot water for 24 hours, where we were offered a first and last offer of 45 as compensation. Considering the property charges significantly more than this per night and to have an entire night and day without hot water with no offer of alternatives is diabolical. We had to use the kettle in the sink to wash ourselves and to wash up dishes which after a day of long hikes was hugely inconvenient. We didnt even get an apology for this inconvenience just a first and last offer which is significantly less than what we had paid per night. This isnt a one off issue as in the visitors book the hot water issue was mentioned by multiple guests. Do not book this property it was AWFUL. We will be now leaving reviews everywhere to warn others to avoid this property at all costs.
The flat was lovely really great location and well equipped. Only issue was the shower even on the highest temperature setting it was only ever lukewarm. I think perhaps there's something not right with it. Otherwise, everything else was great.

No complaints, just compliments. Don't miss the waterfalls just round the corner! Extra towel per person wouldn't go a miss. Keep clicking the fire and it will fire up.
