Ambleside is 2 miles away. Stock Ghyll Force waterfall is 3 miles. Hawkshead with its whitewashed streets is also 3 miles. Windermere is within easy reach too.

Two bedrooms sleep four. The king-size bedroom has a feature fireplace. The twin has two 2'6" single beds. One bathroom with shower over bath and WC serves both rooms. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and washing dryer. Open-plan lounge and diner with a farmhouse-style table completes the layout.

Ambleside's 17th-century Bridge House is 2 miles away (5 mins). Stock Ghyll Force, a 70-foot waterfall, is 3 miles (8 mins). Hawkshead village is 3 miles (10 mins). Bowness-on-Windermere is 8.5 miles (20 mins) where you can hire a rowing boat on England's longest lake.

Field Cottage suits families with young children or couples wanting a proper countryside base. Parking for three cars onsite and a pub nearby adds everyday ease. Two dogs welcome too.
