Lovely comfortable property, with everything you need for your break. We found the patio doors difficult to close as the handle was loose. The location is ideal, within walking distance off Ambleside. Note there is only one parking space if travelling as a group, there is on street parking if you can find a space, although you may struggle at busy times.

A truly wonderful property, both comfortable and full of character. The kitchendiner is particularly well equipped and comfortably seats all the family for an evening meal and a game or two! we took our own but theres a generous offering of interesting games in the cupboard The cosy living room is the perfect place to relax after a busy day enjoying all that the local area has to offer plenty of nearby restaurants including fine dining shops, cinema, cosy pubs and of course the many stunning walks, accessed directly from your front door! If its location you are looking for you wont find a better one than this !

The cottage is a gorgeous building in a great position within a lovely town. It was extremely comfortable and well kitted out. Everything worked well, the showers were excellent and the beds very comfortable. There was an odd smell of drains in the ensuite when we arrived but some bleach seemed to fix it.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Arrival was very straightforward, the onsite parking and entry were both easy and exactly as described in the instructions, which made checkin smooth and stressfree. The location is perfect for leaving the car parked for the full holiday and walking, less than a 5 minute walk into centre of Ambleside and close to lots of lovely walks. The property itself felt very homely and matched the listing well. The beds were especially comfortable, which made for a great nights sleep after busy days out. Although we didnt make much use of the kitchen during our stay, it appeared well equipped with everything youd need for cooking if you wanted to. The smart TV was also a great addition and it was handy being able to log into Netflix and relax in the evenings. As with most holiday lets, there were a few minor signs of normal wear and tear, but nothing that affected our stay or the overall quality of the property in any way. Overall we had a very pleasant stay, would happily recommend this property to others, and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great location close to the heart of Ambleside and lovely heritage building. Smooth check in and good instructions to find the location. Note access to the parking is quite tight if car is anything midsized or above. We stayed over Xmas and heating worked well. We were a family of 6 and the space worked well for us note however the belfry bathroom only had a bath tub not a shower. Kitchen was great, but very few basic provisions were provided. A few maintenance issues need attending to dripping shower and light bulb blown in ensuite. Being public holidays we did not alert management of these during our stay. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend.

This is a charming place to stay, extremely comfortable but also full of character. We were a bit nervous about booking it having read some negative reviews but our fears were completely misplaced. The cottage was spotlessly clean with a new and very wellappointed kitchen with hallelujah good quality appliances that actually worked! It was roomier and more elegant than many of the pictures suggest three decent sized bedrooms with a bathroom each. Our shower was lovely, and the loos all flushed without issue you just have to press and hold the button. Throughout it was warm and cosy. And yes, the stairs creak, but that is normal for a historic property of this age and only adds to the charm! The only slightly difficult thing was parking, which is very tight despite our having a small car.

We found the property very quirky and had fun trying to climb the stairs avoiding the creaks. It would have been nice to have a TV in the bedrooms as we all have different tastes. We loved the smell of wood around the rooms, it felt very historical. The views were amazing and we wont forget the hill, I feel we are a little bit fitter now.

Chapel How is lovely accommodation in a prime location. Upon arrival, we noticed a small army of ants on the lounge carpet behind the TV. Once reported, this was dealt with the next day. A couple of light bulbs need replacing in the bathrooms and a curtain in one of the bedrooms needs replacing. As a one car couple, car parking was fine for us other than the lowest hanging twigs over the parking space need cutting back a little. The kitchen units are beautiful but have been changed from those shown in the marketing photos. We loved our stay and hopefully will be back again. Thank you!

Excellent cottage. Great location too.

Lovely property in a great location, really comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again, the property has everything you need. I think our only gripe is the parking, the spaces are all on a slight angle there is plenty of space the neighbour however opened their car door onto ours and have left a reasonable dent in our door, if you park there I'd suggest getting in nice and close to the wooden poles just to allow plenty of space for the other car to open there doors.

We loved out stay at Chapel How. The property was full of creaky character and charm. The large bath was great for a soak after some long walks too. The property was tucked away, near enough for a short walk into town for food and drinks in the evening, but far enough away to remain peaceful. Thank you.
