Deborah
Cottage was lovely and close to everything, no running cold water upstairs so had to to go to friends hotel room for shower or wait hours for hot bath to cool down ! And tv in bedroom had no signal so couldn't use which was disappointing, of these issues are sorted then would book again.
Nicola
Lovely cottage. Had a comfortable stay here. Warm and cosy with the stove going. The bathroom on the second floor kept us fit. It was great to be able to bring the dog and go for wonderful walks straight from the cottage.

Lovely cosy cottage , very near all pubs and restaurants. especially on rainy winter nights. The log burning stove is a bonus. Well equipped throughout, only disadvantage for some would be toilet on the third floor, but keeps you fit.

A good stay, observations very central but we had a second car which meant parking was an issue, Double beds on the small side, bathroom on second floor slightly inconvenient, overall though an excellent property, would recommend
The property is ideally located very close to the town centre of Ambleside and as such is easily accessible via public transport regular buses from Windermere and vice versa, with the bus stop only around the corner, less than 5mins from the property. The property itself was well stocked with plenty of what you'd want and need. With the kitchen having all the pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, plates, bowls etc all to accommodated the full 6 people that can stay in the property. The bedrooms were lovely and beds very comfortable and plenty of storage space for clothes etc. And the wood burning stove was a lovely addition make sure you bring your own wood but kindling can be easily purchased in Ambleside and heating was easy to work out how to use and the property was already nice and warm when we arrived. Plenty of hikes from right outside your door too as well as being only 20 minutes walk from Waterhead which is at the top of Lake Windermere. You can also easily access other local hikes such as Helvelyn and Skiddaw via bus or short drive. Kendal is also easily accessible via public transport too you can be there in less than an hour and as such if your interested in the climbing wall then that is accessible there too. All in all an amazing stay with all the amenities and comfort you'd want and at an affordable price and plenty of easily accessible scenery, shops, restaurants, outdoor activities and even a local park run
Lovely cottage, really enjoyed our few days here. Shame Storm Amy arrived on Friday afternoon but you can't help the weather! Looking forward to hopefully returning one day, lots of walks still to complete.
Great property in good location
We had a lovely stay at Woolly End lovely position in Ambleside, parking wasnt an issue. Cottage was nice and clean and comfy. Would recommend.
Rachel
Lovely cottage in the middle of Ambleside. Parking can be tricky but didn't have to many problems, lots of different parking permits provided. TV picture in lounge was very fuzzy until we unplugged from the splitter box. Bathroom and only toilet on 2nd floor, which was a little bit challenging for my 82 year old mother. Overall, a wonderfully equipped and located property.
Lovely cozy cottage in a great location.
Great location to walk everywhere and the Parking permits were much appreciated. Tap in kitchen leaking dripping constantly. Needs a quick fix as it is accumulating a reasonable amount of water. Fills the washing up bowl after a few hours. Duvets very cheap and lumpy. Really could do with spending more on the quality of those. A couple of fans out would have been a good idea for the bedrooms in the warmer half of the year. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and loved being able to get everywhere on foot. Thank you.
