Quarters Reviews

We had a wonderful stay at Quarters Cottage in Ambleside and it was perfect for our needs this Christmas. The cottage was cosy, comfortable, clean and well equipped, making it an ideal base for our trip. The owners truly went above and beyond by providing a lovely hamper of goodies, along with thoughtful gifts and decorations, which made us feel very welcome. We wouldnt hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it to others.

We stayed at Charters in Ambleside for three nights, and it was everything wed hoped for during a special 70th family celebration. The house is beautifully set up with three large kingsize bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, plus a spacious family bathroom. The lounge and kitchen are roomy and well stocked, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. The location is fantasticright in the centre of Ambleside close to shops and restaurantsyet the double glazing keeps everything peaceful. And to top it all there are 2 parking spaces right outside with an electric car charging point. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.

A lovely modern property right in the middle of Ambleside. Spacious bedrooms and comfortable living area, which we've been to three times now. We've only ever visited as a 4 two adults, two kids so have been spoiled for space it's possible it might feel a little cramped in the living areas if it was full with 8 people, but the location means you could be out and about in Ambleside and the Lakes all the time anyway! Parking and EV charging are an added bonus!
Michelle
The property is in a perfect location and great to have parking space right outside the property. It is well equipped with everything you need. We will definitely stay here again.
Ideal short stay facility only draw back is early morning noise from the traffic! !
The property is very nice and we would have given 5 stars but two things happened that disappointed. First we could not get in the property until 5.15 so we all had to wait in the street which wasn't great. Second there were no toilet rolls so we had to buy these Friday then 4 rolls appeared Saturday. Having said the above we would like to stay there again its a lovely place and just needed the maintenance to be a litlle better
The Location was ideal, but that was expected as it was the main reason for being chosen rather than other options. The timings set for the heating to come on and go off were inadequate considering it was the end of February. It particularly affected the two main bedrooms on the first floor. However the ground floor ok as it has an electric fire. There was no heating, towel or toilet paper in the ground floor loo.and no small niceties in the kitchen or bathrooms. The overall impression was disappointing.
Jonathan
A spacious, well equipped and well maintaned property in an ideal location.
Location , location, location! We watched the lantern parade and the fireworks from the bedroom an amazing viewpoint. The grandchildren loved the play area and we spent a lot of time there. We will definitely rebook.
The house was fantastic. Perfectly kitted out, furnishings very good quality. Beds and showers were of very high standard. Quality of bedlinen and towels was very good. Kitchen was well equipped. The location is perfect too for access to the multitude of very good restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops which Ambleside has. Guest book had lots of very helpful information regarding walks and things to do in the area. A lot of effort has gone into making a stay in the property a good one. We had issues with wifi. When we followed instructions in cottage manual, message said password was incorrect. We solved it by then connecting to the tplink addresses and this worked to get us wifi. I think the instructions in the manual need amended.
A welcome pack at the property with Information on WiFi code, use of appliances ... A welcome pack at the property with Information on WiFi code, use of appliances as some may not be familiar with the various products would be useful with some suggested things to do near by, restaurants etc Property was excellent parking a little tight for 2 big cars Hope to return at some point in the future
Vanessa
We loved staying here as it is in a central location. The facilities were great and the decor and furnishings were excellent. As a suggestion the bedroom windows could do with blackout blinds. We stayed here as a family for 3 nights and would highly recommend.
