Its a lovely old house. But definitely needs some T L C. Things to improve Locks very difficult and stiff, front and back. Back entrance slippery and difficult with steps in the dark. 5pm checkin very late in winter Parking awkward at the back. Paintwork peeling on front door and generally scruffy in the property. Stains on kitchen ceiling. Lovely pub in the village with good food

Fabulous location beautiful accommodation hosts were amazing , will use again when in this area
We had an amazing stay celebrating a family 60th. The house had everything that we needed for our stay, it was warm and cozy and had some nice touches like our welcome pack and snacks. We would definitely come back again

The house was gorgeous, we stayed there for a week in Sept 25. The accommodation itself was beautiful, the house had everything you needed inside and out in the back garden, the location was great too. However if it was only maintained better, unfortunately it had so many flaws that let the house down. On entry at the back, it took two of us to lift the gate off the floor which nearly brought down the loose fence it was attached to, just to open it, to drive the car in and out. The back garden would have been more appealing had the garden been well kept and the grass cut. The front door wasn't much better as the lock or latch had dropped which made it awkward to lock both locks. Gorgeous open plan kitchen diner, beautiful welcome pack. Due to maintenance unfortunately most of the kitchen drawers were broken, you needed two hands to lift and close them, the hot water tap barely ran there was no pressure at all, so we had to keep boiling the kettle to fill the sink. The extractor fan didn't work above induction hob. Two lovely downstairs rooms, but I don't believe were cleaned for our arrival, the floor, windowsills and where the wall sockets were, were full of dust and cobwebs. Upstairs was great, nice fresh bathrooms and bedrooms lovely shower on the top floor. I think the bedrooms could do with a mirror, there was none in any and maybes a better iron. This all sounds very negative which is a shame as the property was so beautiful, it just wasn't well maintained and up to standard which really let it down.
Lovely house , has potential to be fabulous. The village is lovely too. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, however there are a few things hat require improvement. The freezer compartments are broken and required defrosting urgently. The kitchen tap constantly drops and therefore splashes regularly. Beds are comfy and the bathrooms are very functional and stylish. There is a shortage of mirrors in the bedrooms so drying your hair is hit and miss well it was in my case ! Generally , the house needs a deep clean, the window sills were dusty and covered in dead flies and cobwebs and the bifold doors covered in fingerprints. However the bathrooms and kitchen surfaces had obviously been cleaned.
Fabulous character property in a perfect location being an equal distance to all the places we wished to visit. I was a bit concerned having read some of the reviews and the star rating which dropped after Id booked, however, I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and comfortable and although a bit tired, the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable and there was heaps of room for our international 4 generation family reunion. It is an old property spread over 3 floors the stairs to the top floor are quite steep but not unusual in a property of this vintage theres no bannister, but a rope to assist. Outdoor furniture was a bonus as the weather was excellent and we ate outside most evenings. The pub within walking distance, an excellent coffee shop and a small but well stocked coop were frequently used. The basket of toys were very welcome to entertain our 16 month old twin grandchildren. we added to them with items we were unable to take back to Australia. My only comment was we requested 2 x travel cots unfortunately one had no base and was unusable this would have been a problem with the 1700 checkin but we had purchased an additional one on arrival for other properties we had booked. I dont think this is the owners issue but the company managing the bookings. Anyway we left it for others to use!

Lovely property, fantastic stay, thank you.
High Ridge is a lovely house and we had great support from the local team, especially Vivienne, who checked key facilities for us in the runup to Christmas and was super helpful. The village locations great and the pub a real selling point, alongside some lovely local walks.

No logs in basket as advertised but workman went got some xon further inspection no shelf in fridge . Huge cobwebs in snug window kitchen windows need cleaning .no bulbs in bedroom lamps also no lights working upstairs landing erea reported bathroom bin not emptied .stains on rattan carpet under kitchen table .kitchen bins need replacing as all broke ..no dressing table in one bedroom nowhere to put your bits bobs on .no wardrobe in one bedroom .no shelf in bathroom also no mirrors in bedroom to see to dry hair also couldnt find the hairdryers you advertise .having said that its beautiful house just needs a bit of attention

Beautiful house in a lovely village. Perfect for young families, my little one loved the toy basket and the playground on the village green. The pub food was fantastic and having the coop so close by is very handy. We had a brilliant weekend, highly recommend.
Surprised that the Gas Safety Certificate filed in the property expired in early 2022. Otherwise a smart property, well equipped. Parking is a significant problem, as was the noisy neighbours party on Sat night commencing at 10pm on Sat evening and finishing at 0330 Sunday morning.
We had an amazing stay, the house is absolutely wonderful and the kitchen is very well equipped. Pictures dont really do the size justice but its so roomy. We will 100 go back for another stay. I would say that there could be a better hoover available, we found two under the stairs that had seen better days and didnt pick up much. The decking is also a bit of a hazard. A jet wash in the summer to remove the slippery layer would work wonders to prepare for the wet AutumnWinter months. Overall a really lovely time was had at High Ridge.
Our stay at the High Ridge in Milton Under Wychwood was lovely. The cottage was ideal, it felt homely as soon as you walked in. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The attic room bedroomensuite looked to have recently been refurbished it was gorgeous! There was a good range of facilities, especially the kitchen. The guest information folder was excellent. The location was perfect, ideally positioned for quick and easy access to all the most popular places to visit. The local amenities shop, cafe, pub were also excellent. Sorry to say there were a few minor issues with the cottage housekeepingmaintenance. We put the central heating on one evening and found that the towel radiator in the upstairs bathroom leaked from the valve. We closed the valve as much possible but it still leaked and would fill a small bowl over 24hrs. I see there has been mention of the leaking radiator valve in previous reviews. Also the glass corner shelf in the shower needed attention, it was lose and looked quite precariousdangerous. The outside double sockets did not work only wanted to use it to run a cable to charge the electric car to save running the cable through an open window or door. The kitchen cupboard doors under the sink needed attention both hinges were lose so the doors had dropped and two of the ceiling lights in the kitchen did not work but it wasnt the bulbs. In the garden one morning there was a strong smell of drains and noticed there was grey water under the decking it dissipated after a day or two. We intended to run the hoover round on our last day but neither of the hoovers seemed to work properly. Most of these issues were reported by email on the 209 We had a response but no one came out while we were there. There are relatively minor things we wanted to bring to your attention to. It did not affected our stay at all. Thank you

Beautiful place with greatly equipped kitchen and even had toys for the kids to play with. Great location too. There were some essentials however missing as I'd think we'd get hand soap for the bathrooms and some extra toilet roll. Also the bath tap was dripping so we thought there was a leak in the bath be good to get that looked at. The Netflix TV internet wasn't working which was a bummer too. Otherwise a lovely place and would stay again for sure.
We enjoyed our stay at High Ridge. The kitchen was wellequipped and clean. The grass had been cut and the outside enclosed space is great but the outside table could do with replacing. It is a lovely village quiet but within easy access to many Cotswold Attractions. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Positives 1. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore the beautiful Cotswolds. 2. It is well decorated, was comfortable and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. 3. Music system was great we really enjoyed sitting in the kitchendining area. Negatives 1. Cleanliness was an issue. We discovered dirty baking trays in the dishwasher when we arrived, dirty pans in the cupboards and in one bedroom, the carpet in the fitted cupboard was filthy. We even found an old sock from a previous guest! Not great! 2. Some bedrooms don't have full length mirrors, which we found frustrating. 3. The garden could have done with a tidy and the lawn needed mowing. It didn't feel very inviting, particularly after spotting a huge rat by the bins! 4. Finally, we had an issue with the hot water on the second night. Whilst myself and a friend were having separate showers, the water suddenly turned ice cold for both of us mid shower. After a call to Sykes and the maintenance guy then giving us a call, it did eventually get sorted but took about an hour and we had to contact The Hare restaurant to say that we would be late for our reservation. We tried not to let it spoil our evening but we would expect a house catering for a lot of people to have adequate facilities, especially considering the cost we paid per night for the cottage.
Generally an enjoyable stay. Lacking a little TLC in areas. Shower on 1st floor could do with thorough cleanreplacing. Kitchen cupboards have flaking paint. Generally maintenance and repair would make the property faultless
Great location and a great cottage, would definitely recommend
Beautiful Cottage! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Fantastic location in the heart of the Cotswolds
Thank you for a fabulous stay. The house was perfect loved the bifold doors and we had the most perfect weather. The cottage was close to all towns you must eat at the Kingham Plough food outstanding.
Stayed at this house for a family birthday. Was perfect for the 8 of us and had lovely character features. Great location in Milton under wychwood and only a short drive from Burford and other villages.

Wonderful place to stay! We visited for a family birthday, and had a brilliant time. The cottage was so clean and provided ample space to cooking and entertaining over the weekend. The location is brilliant for exploring the Cotswolds, and there is a fabulous pub The Hare which is a two minute walk away!
Fantastic house for a family birthday! Perfect!
