We had a great stay at this cottage. It's perfect for families wanting to unwind after a day exploring the local beaches and historic spots. We enjoyed hanging out near John O'Groats, watching the different groups finishing their trips at the landmark. The distillery cafe is a lovely stopand my wife swears it has the best cafe latte around - she's usually quite picky! The cottage itself has everything you need for a comfortable holiday, really felt like a home away from home.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was charming and had everything we needed, plus a big enclosed garden perfect for our dog. The welcome pack was a nice touch, with treats and a ball for the pooch - made us feel very welcome!

We found the cottage to be really cosy and spotlessly clean, much bigger than it looks from the outside. The garden was stunning, even with the rain and wind. Anne was lovely-great at communication and very helpful if we needed anything. We stayed a few days alone and felt completely safe. The bus service to Thurso was handy, with a gorgeous beach and a fantastic museum with a cafe. We'd definitely return, even though it's quite a trek from home!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely place! The house felt really warm and welcoming, with each room beautifully decorated and full of character. The garden was a real highlight-huge, safeand perfect for kids and dogs to run around freely. The hot tub was spotless and ready to go when we arrived, which was a real treat. The kitchen and utility were super well stocked, making everything easy. Plus, the cosy wood burner made the evenings even better. Definitely recommend!

We had a brilliant time over Christmas! Anne was incredibly welcoming and gave us plenty of space to relax. The cottage was stunning, beautifully decorated with high-quality fittings. The hot tub was a real highlightand the huge garden was perfect for our dogs to run around. Definitely recommend for a peaceful escape from everyday stress!

We had a lovely stay at Thistle Cottage. The gardens were perfect for our dogs, especially with the big park just across the street. The history of the place was really interesting, though we'd have loved to learn who the people in the large pictures in the hall were. The house had everything we needed for a comfy visit. Would return!

We loved staying here! The cottage has such charm and feels really homely. The welcome pack was a lovely touch-fresh bread, sparkling wine, chocolatesand even treats for our dogs. The enclosed garden meant the dogs could roam freely while we relaxed in the hot tub. Perfect spot for exploring the highlands. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The cottage is stunning and full of charm, with a lovely big garden to relax in. It's perfectly located for exploring the north coast, which made our trip even better. The owners clearly put a lot of effort into making everything perfect - the decor is tasteful and comfortable. They're super friendly and approachable, making us feel really welcome. We're already talking about coming back someday, it was that good!
