Property in great location great parking, big space for large family, sadly this is our second stay here but wont be returning. Downstairs shower was reported a year ago, still not fixed, upstairs shower rail doesnt work either, rats seen every day from next door garden
Need to leave more toilet rolls. There were only 3 of us and we had to leave early and it nearly ran out. As previous stays, fantastic location and parking. Could do with more storage in the kitchen, maybe some shelves.
Fantastic location easy walking distance downhill to shops, pubs, bakeries etc. Wellequiped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Unfortunately, the upstairs shower cubicle doors were broken didn't shut properly. From visitor book this has been an ongoing issue since Oct 2024! Also, the bar that holds the shower head needs replacing as shower head droops when it's on. Therefore, had to hold shower head in hand when showering partly to avoid water leaking out through the unclosedbroken door. Downstairs electric shower is very old we didn't use it because the water leaks out of the cubicle on the toilet side when the shower is on. Bathrooms desperately need updatingmaintenance. We were walking in the Lakes fantastic weather and were out for most of the day but a decent shower at the end of the day would have been nice.
We were not happy with the property which was advertised as a cottage, but was really a semi detached house upside down. We did not think it was worth the money we paid things that had been referred to in the visitors book for years back still not sorted out. We will not be coming back as it was like being on a housing estate instead of a holiday home.Rogerand Margaret..

Cottage was in an ideal location clean and tidy a bit a maintenance would have made it a perfect stay. The dishwasher and downstairs shower didnt work. The shower screen was broken and many handles and door hinges faulty.

It was all perfect. Everything was there and in good shape. I enjoyed it very much. No complaints or wishes. Would certainly come back once again.
The downstairs shower isnt working. Everything else was great though
Lovely property only a short walk from the centre of Ambleside. Stayed for 3 nights and was perfect for our needs. Would certainly stay here again.

Perfectly situated for what we wanted and had everything we needed for a short stay to accommodate a Lakeland race

Ideal base to stay Cottage spotless beds really comfy Only slight niggle down stairs shower extremely hot couldn't maintain ideal temperature so used upstairs which was fine. Bathroom door sticks But would definitely return
We only stayed for two nights, and weren't in the house too much but had a great time and I think it's a fantastic house. Our decision to choose your house was mainly based on cost and parking. We were impressed with how neat, tidy and clean and comfortable it was. Great views and very peaceful. Loved the layout and spacious rooms, and only a short walk into town. I think the published pictures don't do the property justice, but I wasn't worried as having lived in Ambleside for a number of years and been inside properties throughout the town, I think the more modern properties and this area are very underrated, and have a lot of advantages over the older more traditional style properties lower down in the town.

Curtain pole in lounge broken so unable to pull curtains on at night could do ... Curtain pole in lounge broken so unable to pull curtains on at night could do with both showers updating especially the one downstairs otherwise everything perfect nice touch with the tea and coffee sachets left and dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid other landlords take note all in all a very comfortable stay and very secure for the dogs out back
It would be helpful if towelling and large dustbin bags could be provided sufficient for six for their length of stay. We found there was insufficient storage space in the kitchen for our own commodities. There were far too many cooking implements taking up valuable space. It is too crowded to sit more than 4 at a time around the kitchen table. We used the one in the lounge. The house was really well stocked with reading and walking literature. The property is also very well situated within the national park.
