We loved it all except when we got there the e ceiling light in hall bath fell in and it looked like more would, th ere was water damage, some old. We have pictures. A maintenance man came in as we were leaving and pointed out more. We have lots of photos. I couldnt take a bath the whole time much to my dismay. Needed it after all that hiking. Other than that, the place was a total joy, very comfortable, well thought out put, well kitted out, lots of extra as well. We could have stayed an extra week! We tried to co tact Sykes several times about the ceiling with no Response in fact we have STILL not heard back.

The property is lovely, with a fantastic view over Ambleside. We have visited before and we would definitely stay there again. Its an ideal location for exploring the Lakes. The shower in the ensuite had some mould developing and possibly needs resealing, and the ensuite walls could do with a lick of paint. But this is just being very picky. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed was very comfortable, as was the sofa. The best thing were the comfy seats out on the patio which allowed us to sit there in the sunshine during the day and watch the sunset in the evenings.

Ive been renting cottages in Ambleside every year since 1989 and this one is the best for 2 people that Ive ever had. The view is spectacular. The kitchen well equipped and having two spacious bathrooms for 2 people feels so luxurious. Location is super convenient. I cant compliment highly enough. We now return every year, booking as we finish our holiday.

Absolutely loved our stay at Pavey Ark which has to be THE best accommodation in The Lakes for two people. We never used our car all week and either caught buses or walked out most days from the apartment. Cafes and restaurants are all improving their offerings and we were spoilt for choice. Our third stay here and we will hopefully be back again as it is such a comfortable and well equipped apartment and the views from the lounge are stunning at all times of the year.

Lake lovers communications is abysmal. It took TWO weeks for someone to get back to me on possibility of extending my stay. Thats unacceptable. And your app is clunky. And its relation. To Sykes is unclear and confusing. Insisting on phone for most communication is ridiculous.

Pavey Ark exceeded our expectations, we have stayed in this complex a number of times but never on the ground floor, but the views were still amazing. The apartment was warm and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen although the toaster was a bit flakey, a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with a dressing area. We experienced all 4 seasons during our stay, so did get to sit outside despite it being March. The apartment was warm when it was very cold outside. We appreciated the local walk books and guides in the house. We enjoyed being able to walk to various places without using the car. As usual, there was some iffy parking from neighbours but we just used the visitor spaces, when unable to park in the allocated space. We would happily stay at Pavey Ark again.

My wife and I were so pleased to find that Pavey Ark lived up to all our hopes when we arrived. The apartment is warm and comfortably furnished. The picture window view over Ambleside is very special. The kitchen area has everything you could want or need for self catering, and the area has many fine restaurants and cafs if eating out. Our sincere thanks to the owners for a lovely week.

This was our second stay at Pavey Ark and once again we had a fantastic time. The view from the apartment is superb. The property is very clean and has everything you need. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return.

Pavey Arc is well situated with beautiful views and the apartment is well equipped with everything needed for your stay. However there needs to be more attention paid to the cleanliness.When I used the footstool it was obvious it had not been moved to hoover under it and the dust on the hinges of the washing machine and kitchen shelves showed the kitchen wasn't thoroughly cleaned either. In the en suite bathroom there is mould in the shower and the walls are badly marked.It would be better to tile the walls or use washable paint which would make keeping it clean much easier. I have stayed in this complex previously although not at Pavey Arc and in my opinion the whole place is looking very dated and in need of a face lift.For this reason I wouldn't stay here again on my next visit as there are many other properties in the town which offer better options.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pavey Ark ,it was clean comfortable and airy with most things required for a week's self catering stay a clothes airer would be a nice additionthe apartment is part of a complex, which we found to be very quiet,and ideally located above Ambleside with great views over to Loughrigg Fell. We would have no problems in returning in the future.

The property is beautiful stunning views. Owner needs to be aware that there appears to be a problem with the toaster. Every time we used it the electrics were tripped in the kitchen. There was a hand written note in the property information pack warning us of this issue, and advising how to reset at the fuse box. Notice that the last PAT test label on the toaster was dated 2021..

Lovely cottage in a great location. Very clean and has everything you could need and more. Great views too while you drink your morning coffee on the patio.

What a view! The best apt we've ever had in the Lakes, so comfy and warm, and all mod cons. Great to come back to after a day on the fells, and near to all amenities such as shops and restaurants. Good bus service too to Windermere and Grasmere, so we never moved the car!! My husband did a lovely oil painting of your view. We will definitely return.

Having stayed in The Lakeland complex many times Pavey Ark really hit the spot for us. As part of my 75th birthday celebrations it really helped to make it a very memorable birthday for all the right reasons. We will be delighted to return possibly in the winter months when the area is always that bit quieter. Can't wait to see the beauty of Ambelside from the patio of Pavey Ark in the not to distant future.

What a fabulous place to stay! Over the years we have stayed in apartments in all 3 blocks at The Lakelands and this was by far the best. From the super comfy bed and seating unit to the very well equipped kitchen what more could we have wanted. We will definitely be back probably at a later time in the year when hopefully we can enjoy the patio area in the sunshine.

Most of the rooms had cobwebs and the floor had remnants of tinsel from Xmas. Tin opener didnt work and couldnt find chopping boards but a phone call remedied this. We did eventually find several boards hidden in a cupboard. Generally very pleased with the accommodation. This is the second time weve been and hopefully will return.

Fabulous view from a very spacious apartment. It was very clean and comfortable with a great shower room. Only critique please update the wardrobe area in living room as it was not attractive at all so outdated. Also coffee table has seen better days and needs replacing. The Pavey Ark is truly a home away from home. Everything that you could need has been thought about, making for a truly relaxing stay. There are cosy blankets, sandwich bags for picnics, washing up tools and even a complimentary Harry Potter scrabble board for your enjoyment! It's a very spacious apartment with the most spectacular views a few footsteps away from the main Ambleside streets, yet far enough to offer peace and tranquility. We cannot wait to go again.

We had a lovely stay at Pavey Ark. The apartment is positioned only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside. We did not have to use our car at all during our weeks stay as there are so many incredible walks on the doorstep. The apartment was very comfortable, especially the Super King bed. It had everything we needed and had a view spectacular to boot. Many thanks for a great stay.
