Meadowsweet Reviews

Lovely big house on nice quiet cul de sac. Lovely pub in the village and very close to Southwold.
Louise
We had a wonderful stay. The house is extremely comfortable and fully equipped. It is in a great position to enjoy the Suffolk coastline. We have booked it again for next year!
This was a return visit for all our party the property was comfortable clean and tidy and our dogs love the garden area. Lots of nice walks on our door step. Suggest some milk in the fridge on arrival would be good and some kind of kitchen top cleaner not just glass cleaner. Reading the reviews before arrival we found on our return some of the issues had still not been dealt with. Would return.

The house was well equipped and comfortable. Couple of negatives. The bedrooms were cold, a few of the kitchen items were not clean a baking tray and jug. One of the oven doors is broken.
A lovely property, spacious & well equipped. Very peaceful & lovely walks from the house. Ideally placed to explore the Suffolk coast. Would love to come again.
Denise
Lovely house very warm and cosy. There were a few concerns. The shower trays filled up and did not drain so was worried they would overflow. Had to wait in shower for them to go down. There is a hot tub but guests are not able to use which is a shame as it being on the property you would assume its for guests. There is only parking for 2 cars at the property. There are no facilities to place glass and bottles. Overall a lovely stay the house has everything you need. Only 10 minutes from Southwold which was great. The local pub is lovely accepts dogs and food great.

Really nice, comfortable, spacious house, in an excellent location. The equipment in the house was probably the best we have ever seen everything you could need was available. Plenty of room for the little people to run about, with the added bonus of a field of sheep which had to be visited every morning. The only downside of having two little people in the party was that it quickly became evident the floor's downstairs weren't quite as clean as we would have liked. Their socks quickly became messy, together with toenail clippings be evident in the kitchen, was somewhat disappointing. The shower doors are also in need some attention. However, apart from these minor annoyance, a nice house in a nice location.

Meadowsweet is a lovely house in a great part of Suffolk. The house was so comfortable and well equipped. Brilliant garden for our dogs to run round in and us to sit out in after a day visiting the local seaside towns. The only 'snag' that we had was that one of the doors in the ensuite shower didn't slide closed fully at the bottom due to it being out of its runner. We didn't want to start fiddling with it and water didn't get on the floor when we showered so it really wasn't a problem. If we visit Suffolk again we'd definitely book Meadowsweet again.
Very comfortable and spacious. Nice garden furniture and secure area for dogs. Would recommend

Our second stay at Meadowsweet, Blythburgh, Suffolk. Such a lovely, comfortable, well equipped and welcoming holiday home.. in a beautiful spot overlooking the meadow ! Many thanks.

The house is lovely, clean and tidy. The problem we had was being able to install the stair gate. We couldnt find the spanner. Phoned the number on the key information and although answered had no reply then phoned BOS which was answered but didnt get back to us. Finally after a long search found the spanner in a cupboardwould of been helpful if it had been left out for ushad a message from I think the housekeepercleaner to check we had sorted it but that was the only support we had so I would say that wasnt very good at all, this was a safety issue. The man to mow the lawn arrived early on our departure day and wanted access to mow the lawn he said he would wait but we did feel a bit pressured to let him in and as I still had the dog outside in the garden it was slightly annoying. Couldnt find the microwave manual. Suggestion would be that all the manuals etc were put in a folder and left out so theres no rummaging in the drawers or cupboard to find them. Apart from the that the house and everything was lovely.
There seemed to be a lot of rules to adhere to but we loved the house and location
Maureen
A lovely place to stay. Bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everything we needed, though an instruction manual for the microwave would have been useful. Very quiet and peaceful. Watered the herbs and had fresh oregano in scrambled eggs. Handy for Southwold and Aldeburgh, Leiston Abbey is worth a visit. The downside was too many artificial flowers and the kettle needs a good descale.

The property is a fantastic holiday home, lovely, comfortable and spacious as well as being well equipped. I think there are a few issues that need sorting, some of which look to have been suggested before in the holiday book such as the patio doors having hooks to stop them blowing back in any gusts of wind when you have young children especially this is a concern they'll get their fingers trapped etc, when you turn the showers on the pressure is so high initially the head shoots up and soaks the bathrooms although once you've wrangled it the shower pressure is nice, the shower doors don't close properly so they leak, and the bath has a constant slow trickle of water that you cannot stop. The tap in the utility has only a trickle of water coming out. Aside from those maintenance issues, I would highly recommend this property as it really is fantastic and close to so many wonderful places.
Natalie
Layout and space of the holiday property is great and so well stocked with kitchen equipment particularly. The children loved having different toys to play with as well. Beds were so comfy, could just do with heavier lines curtains to stop early wake ups but only a minor point. Really well positioned for exploring the Suffolk coast.

The house perfect for our needs . It was very well equipped and the fact you provided a cot, high chair and stair gate was a real bonus. We were very happy staying at Meadowsweet and would happily recommend to friends and family.
Joanne
We really enjoyed our stay at Meadowsweet House. Such a lovely, welcoming and well equipped holiday home, in a wonderful position, with a super fieldmeadow outlook in between Southwold and Walberswick. Weve already put a deposit down for next year ! Many thanks.
You ask my opinion on Meadowsweet but the first question is about you. When we arrived the door key was missing, so we couldnt get in a recently bought perishable food was in a hot car. Of the two numbers we had for you the first wasnt answered and the second was for another holiday company.
Elizabeth
The house was just right for our family get together with everything perfect apart from the weather . Interesting village church and location good for walks and visiting Southwold.
Wonderful holiday cottage in a lovely location. The property provided all we needed as a large family group for the weekend and then a good base for the local nature reserves in Suffolk.
The house is beautiful & in a lovely location. However the showers are almost unusable due to the excessive water pressure the shower head goes upwards & unable to angle it downwards. Whilst the property looked clean, on closer viewing there was dirty marks on my bedroom table which I was able to clean off. When I retrieved my dogs ball from under the lounge bureau it came out covered in dusthair etc. Some panstrays still had food residue on. There are too many trays etc in the kitchen cupdoard, making it difficult to find what you need. The glasses were dull with water marks on the rims not used rinse aid & left to dry in dishwasher? Could do with some up to date tourism leaflets. Sorry to find some fault, maybe trivial but worth mentioning, despite which we had a great time in the property.
Claire
This was our 4th stay at Meadowsweet and it never disappoints The house is clean, comfortable, very well equipped and more spacious than the photos can show. There is plenty of space for all guests to relax and the garden is very secure if you have a dog. It is ideally located for the area with lovely walks available on your doorstep too, and very quiet. Thoroughly recommended, and thanks again for another lovely stay.
Wonderful home with everything you could need for a holiday break. Easy location to travel around Suffolk especially Southwold and Walberswick. Loads of room with excellent facilities, comfortable beds and furniture. Lovely outside space with bbq and garden furniture. Would we stay here again definitely!!
Victoria
Lovely property which was extremely well equipped. Great location in a peaceful area. Enjoyed by all the family.
